Attitude

I split my pants today. Yup, you read that right, and I was at work. So I have some new pants on right now and they are awesome.

Now when it happened, did I freak out or have a sour attitude for the rest of the day, nope. I just went, on my lunch break, to Walmart and bought new pants. Why would I write something about this, it's because it's about attitude.

You are the person you are. For instance, when you get dressed and go to work, you don't become someone else, you go to work. At least 8 hours a day, at least 5 days a week, you are working. So who you are at work will be in part who you are at home and in other endeavors.

Not everyone likes their job, and most people are looking for a career. Some place they can feel good about where they work, make a living and not dread working, but maybe even look forward to it. So even if it's a job you hate, it is still helping you make your goals right now. It's still paying bills, and food. I'm not going to say you have to change your idea about your job, but your going to have to like it for now while you work on what you want to do.

You also need to be awesome at your job. Not liking your job is not an excuse for being bad at it, because just like when I played football and we practiced at full speed. You have to work out that muscle, and if you half ass it at work, you'll half ass your dream and not realise it.

I know first hand how much that is asking for but I also know how good it feels on the other side, after the initial battles, wins and losses, and let me tell you it's worth it.  You will be better for it, trust me.

So when you go through your day, you could cuss and spit, you could be pissed off at every little misfortune that comes your way, or you could laugh it off and write about it in a new pair of pants. Which do you think would make your day better.
