Born in 1982. I was adopted by the only people who I consider my parents, and raised in a small town, called Calallen. At 12 my father was able to get a transfer and we moved to San Antonio Tx, which is where I finished high school. I spent the next 10 years bouncing around Texas, from College Station to Corpus Christi, trying to figure out where I wanted to live and what I wanted to do with my life.
I finally set my feet back in San Antonio, and started working for a large property and casualty insurance company, contemplating settling into the office life. After 7 years I started to get an itch that there was something better out there for me.
My whole life I've had a large imagination. I would dream up stories and settings, where I would normally be the lead, or at least be looking through their eyes. Playing video games was a normalcy for the escape into some uncharted and untold world where adventure awaited. I always wanted to be in those places I imagined and experienced gaming.
It wasn't till I met my wife in July of 2011 that I really started to contemplate what I wanted to do with my life, and really wanted to be here more than someplace else. She was able to show me how happy I could be just by coming into my life, so I figured that I could, and should, do that for my professional life.
I started to read more. I had been a visual entertainment consumer for much of my life, even though most of my gaming consisted of role playing games that have a heavy text base nature to them. Not having the visual feedback was a different feel. I liked it. It gave my imagination a workout, more so than any game that I had played.
After reading a few self help books I started contemplating what made me happy and what how I might be able to turn that into a career. In August of 2012 I had a long conversation with my wife, who was (and still is) supportive, so I started to write.
The Zero Class was finished and self-published on October 5th of 2013, and I was elated. There have been many more since then but it was that one, for whatever the reason, that gave me the drive to really push myself further.
I currently still live in the greater San Antonio area with my wife Christine, two cats, and beautiful daughter Vivian. When there is spare time or non-writing time I still play video games, I spend time with my family, or read a new adventure from another author to continually flex my brain muscle.
